PRESIDENTIAL CLASSROOM
Mission/Purpose: Presidential Classroom prepares young leaders for responsible citizenship and provides outstanding high school students the chance to explore the political process firsthand. Programs/Activities: Presidential Classroom provides the next generation of civic leaders an academic and leadership development experience in Washington, D.C. There are eight programs that focus on current issues affecting society: ■ Presidential Classroom Scholars ■ Global Business & Public Policy ■ Future World Leaders Summit ■ Communications and Journalism ■ Science, Technology & Public Policy ■ Law & Justice in a Democracy ■ National Security Policy Participants: Students in grades 10-12. Getting Involved: For detailed program descriptions and application information, visit the website, www.presidentialclassroom.org. Fees: Tuition, which runs from $1,350 to $1,400, covers a full schedule of educational and cultural events including seminars, discussions and tours, as well as accommodations, meals, transportation during the program, sightseeing and a 24-hour health clinic. There is an application fee. Students who have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate financial need may apply for financial assistance. Contact Information: 119 Oronoco St.
