A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE CITIZEN EDUCATION FUND
The future of our democracy rests on the shoulders of the next generation of voters and leaders. It is up to the young people to insure that we have a healthy democracy, one that is responsible and responsive to all people. This is only possible when everyone participates in elections, civic affairs, and government.
Engaging young people civically and growing them as leaders is a challenge that the League of Women Voters believes is fundamental and central to our democracy. To advance this value, the League is proud to publish this directory of programs that offer young people various ways to get involved and make their voices heard in their communities, the state, and the nation.
The League dedicates this third edition of the directory to the young people of Massachusetts, and we sincerely hope that this resource will facilitate their commitment to our democracy.
