BOSTON ALLIANCE OF GAY, LESBIAN

and TRANSGENDERED YOUTH

 

Mission/Purpose: The Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian and Transgendered Youth is a youth-led, adult-supported organization that creates, sustains, and advocates for programs, policies and services for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth community.

Programs/Activities: BAGLY’s Queer Activist College provides a foundation for an understanding of social justice and activism. The QuAC offers skill-building opportunities for current and future activists, organizers and movement leaders. Courses in the “college” include public speaking, anti-racism, leadership, meeting facilitation, and more

Participants: Youth ages 22 and under.

Getting Involved: BAGLY holds a weekly welcoming meeting in Boston. Interested young people are strongly encouraged to attend. Call the office for the location and the time of the meeting.
